BA (Hons) Commercial Music with Foundation Year

The BA (Hons) Commercial Music with Foundation Year develops the creative, technical, and professional skills needed to build a career in the modern music industry. Students explore songwriting, lyricism, digital audio production, live performance, artist development, self-production, and professional portfolio development. The programme combines practical music-making with industry-focused learning, preparing students for careers as independent artists, recording artists, songwriters, producers, performers, content creators, and music-focused entrepreneurs.

Foundation entry typically requires 48 UCAS points from accepted Level 3 qualifications or equivalent experience, plus four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English or an equivalent qualification, and a successful interview. Undergraduate and CertHE Level 4 entry typically requires 96 UCAS points from accepted Level 3 qualifications or equivalent experience, four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English or an equivalent qualification, and a successful interview.
